The power of niche magazines
With 20 years of experience in designing magazines, I have created magazines for our town. Challenging my work beyond the basic rack of local magazines that merely aim to exist. As John Branch beautifully wrote in a recent New York Times Sunday issue titled “In the Digital Era, Niche Magazines on Printed Pages are Thriving,” “Niche magazines, much like vinyl records and micro brews, are crafted for small audiences who appreciate the art form. These magazines are filled with edge-to-edge photographs and literary heaves and are designed to be more than just coffee as a shoulder bag- they are collectibles, not disposables.”
I take pride in oversizing them, adding texture, and creating magazines that are visually stunning and tactilely engaging, making each issue a cherished masterpiece, an object of art to adorn your bookcase.
